We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate recommending to anyone. We saw several of the rare native wildlife animals including the elusive tree kangaroo.

Paul’s knowledge of the area and where to find platypus, tree kangaroos and other wildlife made the tour everything we hoped for.

Tour was easy to book, communication was adequate to relay information. Picked up on time and tour was great from there. Excellent information given regarding the Cairns and Tablelands area. Successfully located a number of animals and Paul the guide again was very informative. Pub dinner was excellent and the pub itself has history. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I try to go on this tour every time I go to Cairns, and I send all my visiting biologist buddies on it too. It’s great - always see amazing native animals. This time we were on a mission to get me to finally see a tree kangaroo. Once again, I got skunked — but we saw plenty of species of possums, some lizards, birds, a platypus; and got heaps of info on the region. I highly recommend!

This trip is a must! It has been my favourite part of our holiday in Cairns so far. We saw, heard, experienced (and even tasted!) so much wildlife, much of which is right under your nose and you would never see it without this excellent guide! Anything we picked up, pointed out or heard in the distance, our guide could tell us exactly what it was and we learned so much. Our group was a mix of people from different backgrounds and a wide age gap, yet the atmosphere created by our guide was so relaxed and our group was instantly chatting and getting to know each other from the start. It was such a unique experience so spot wildlife at night. We saw many Boyd forrest dragons, tasted fruit (quandong), watched a brush turkey building it's nest, saw a platypus swimming and diving in the water and climbing up on the bank to scratch, saw glowing fungus in the dark, amazing trees like the curtain figs, and spotted a few rat kangaroos, chowchilla birds, a green tree frog, big huntsman spiders, bats, green ringtail possums, coppery and common brush tail possums, and an atherton jungle python. Overall it is a unique experience which feels like you are being brought around by a friend who knows all the secrets! The bonus is that there is no artificial element to this trip in that none of the wildlife are disturbed, fed or coaxed in any way. You just have the privilege of observing them while they do what they do! Thank you Paul for a great experience.

came across this tour when searching for things to do in Cairns. Paul picked us up & 1 other person for our tour. We went to many different areas of the Atherton Tablelands for sightseeing of magnificent rainforests & lots of special animals & reptiles. We saw tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, musky rat kangaroos, boyds forest dragons, leaf tailed ghettos, bats & wallabies. Paul was excellent at spotting these unique animals & reptiles in their natural environment . Had a delicious dinner at a local pub also. Overall a fantastic day & night out (1:30 pm to 9:30pm) Great value for money and a very different way to see native wildlife

Paul is a very experienced and knowledgable guide. Equipment is supplied except bring your own water bottle. The pace of the tour is pretty cracking with a lot of walking so you need to stay hydrated and wear the correct footwear to walk on the rainforest trails. Dinner in the "country pub" marvellous.

Unique experience being involved in rescuing a tree kangaroo fro the roadside, then viewing more of them in the trees. Night-time platypus-spotting, followed by other nocturnal animals in the trees. Lunchtime pickup and evening drop-off in Cairns by friendly, very knowledgeable guide who drove us up to the Tablelands for the tour - beautiful scenery and fascinating wildlife. Well worth the drive to see things that most Australians have not seen.
