We had an excellent street art tour with Ben yesterday and got to see some amazing, and not so amazing pieces in locations that we may not have found on our own. Even within each laneway Ben was very good at pointing out the little details and points of interest that would otherwise go unnoticed. He pointed out works by many different artists in many different styles. We have enjoyed street art tours around the world and were very happy to add Melbourne in this year of holiday at home. The visit to Blender Studios was a fascinating way to finish up. Thank you to everyone who was able to make this happen for us- we are very pleased that we didn’t miss out. A big thank you to Ben for his time and knowledge showing us around a taste of the Melbourne street art scene and leaving us with a bit more knowledge as we continue to explore.

Having a real artist running the tour was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and also knew the other artists, their work and what was happening around the city. I felt like we got taken to places that were off the beaten track and that other tours wouldn't even know about. The chance to see the workshop at the end and share a drink was the icing on the cake.

I so enjoyed my day exploring the laneways of Melbourne with Melbourne Street Art Tours. I have walked the laneways on my own but being with a knowledgeable guide with the backstories of the artists as well the history of the street art movement added so much. Don’t miss this tour! It’s a must-do in Melbourne!

Had a great day out yesterday, led by Akemi from Blender Studios. He talked us through the different styles of street art, the prominent artists, and some important 'dos and don'ts' within the scene. He was vary approachable, and open to talking on any topic around the street art, anything else you wanted to know. The tour of Blender Studios at the end of the walk was great too. So many talented artists, so much to see and take in.

We took Year 9 students on the street art tour, and they also had a stencil art class as well. The whole day was arranged by staff at Melbourne Street Tours, down to where the easiest place to have lunch was. They were extremely helpful. All of the staff were really encouraging and positive with the students and this point alone was extremely appreciated.

Loved listening to some of the stories, inspiration and culture from one of the artists. I felt invited in to a world I knew very little about and left with a wider scope and appreciation. Thanks Ben and the team at Blender Studios. Highly recommended!

On the actual tour itself, it was the street that had the Legacy art that was quite impressive because it wasn't just stenciled or sprayed on like most of the rest of the street art. There was also an area - an alleyway of sorts between some shops that had an assortment of multi-media pieces including a lot of framed (by picture frames) art that was interesting. Loved getting shown around Blender studios. Was beyond impressed by the quality of the art being produced there. They're certainly a talented bunch.

Having an artist as the tour guide was what made this tour. Having someone in their field with the knowledge and insight is a master stroke. The tour was very enjoyable and opened my eyes to the world of street art, and that street art is more than just paint. If you're looking for tour of Melbourne this is the one you want to be on.

With a street artist able to provide a unique insight into the culture, art works and artists, we experienced the laneways of Melbourne which has changed our appreciation of street art forever! There are hidden gems with a history that only a tour guide with first hand knowledge could provide. A visual feast and immersive experience! Highly recommended.
